ANNUAL COMMUNITY EVENT

Quilters – the Musical

Heritage Theatre Company in partnership with Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show, presents QUILTERS, a Broadway musical that garnered six Tony nominations in 1985 and has remained a favorite in regional theatres ever since.  As homesteader Sarah prepares a legacy quilt for her daughters, a patchwork of stories comes to life inspired by her quilting patterns.  Seven actresses in multiple roles portray scenes ranging in tone from the humorous to those of vivid, dramatic intensity as the lives of pioneer women and the historical role of quilting are celebrated in drama, dance and song.

The quilt blocks created by Central Oregon quilters for each scene of the production will be sold and the money raised, along with percentage of proceeds from ticket sales, will be donated to Sisters Family Access Network, a local agency that provides basic needs for kids and families facing difficult times.
